Christmas Recap

We had a great Christmas this year. We were all so spoiled in so many ways!!

I quickly snapped a picture of the kids on the Sunday before Christmas in their Christmas attire. Cute kids!!

All of the kids got to open one present on Christmas Eve.

The kids and their new jammies. They were so excited about them!

Santa always brings us movies!

Brooks drank his bottle while everyone opened their gifts

Brynn got two babies, one in pink and the other in purple.
They make a sucking sound when you put the bottle in their mouths and when you take them out, they cry. The girls LOVE that!
Brynn is such a good little mama!!

Both Austin and Aubree got Snuggies. They wear them almost all the time!

Christmas at Kathy and Larid's house...

Brynnlee loves horsey rides!

Kathy made blankets for Brooks, Brynn, and Aubree. They are so, so, sooooooo cute!!!!!

Austin got a remote controlled pickup and LOVES it!! When he opened it, he said, "Oh good, it's a Chevy! If I ever drove a Ford, my dad would put me in my room."

This is Brynnlee's new dress. She could not wait to try it on. She went ahead and put it on right over her clothes. And backward too! This is her saying "CHEESE!!!"

These are the outfits Kathy got for the three girls (Aubree, Emalee, and Bretta).

Brett helped Ryan look a little more spiffy in his suit jacket by adding a nice ribbon for a tie. Lookin' good, Ryan!

Brynnlee LOVES Ryan! She just cuddled right up to him.

These are the girls' blankets on their beds. They are so stinkin' CUTE!!!

Christmas Programs

At the beginning of December, Austin had his Christmas program at school. It was based on the movie The Polar Express. Austin did such a great job and really got into the actions. They did several songs in sign language and he knows them all! It was so fun to watch!!

Austin and his best friend (and next door neighbor), Carson in their p.j.'s for the Polar Express Christmas Program
Yesterday, Aubree had her Christmas Program at Pre-school. It was so adorable! I was so proud of how well she did.

I wanted to write down the poem that goes with this picture. It's called "Eight Little Reindeer".

Eight little reindeer beside Santa's sleigh
Getting hitched up to be on their way.
The first one said, "We can't be late."
The second one said, "Christmas won't wait."
The third one said, "The sleigh is full of toys."
The fourth one said, "For all the girls and boys."
The fifth one said, "I'm ready to fly."
The sixth one said, "Across the evening sky."
The seventh one (Aubree) said, "Look it's starting to snow."
The eighth one said, "I think it's time to go."
"Ready?" said Santa. "It's almost Christmas Day."
And off they all flew - up, up, and away!

Aubree's the one in green.

Getting Ready For Christmas

We got our tree up on Sunday in preparation for Christmas. It started out as a family affair, everyone helped put the tree together (it's an artificial tree). Brett put on the lights. Austin and Brett handed me decorations for me to place on the tree...

Brooks was hanging out on the floor watching us...

Aubree fell asleep in the family room, and who knows what happened to Brynn!
But we did get it done and are enjoying it every day! We can't wait for Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving In Mesquite

We went to Mesquite, NV this year for Thanksgiving and met up with my family to do Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a baby shower for my sister Jenny. We had sooooooooooo much fun and looooooooooooooooved the warm weather!!! We were kept busy with LOTS of things to do...

Swimming!

Jenny is an elementary music teacher. We went to her school and she taught the kids all sorts of fun dances with really cool hats!

Turkey hats for the Turkey Tango
Then she taught everyone songs on all of her percussion instruments.

Even Brynnlee got in on the action!

Then we all went out to the playground to play around.

At the church, where we met to eat, people kept busy playing basketball and games there while dinner was prepared.
Believe it or not, Brooks is asleep as Brett holds him and plays basketball! Apparently, we wore him right out!!
Before everyone headed out Saturday morning, we did a fun baby shower for Jenny and this was her awesome cake her mother-in-law had made for her.
It was really good timing since Jenny had her baby three days after that!
We had so much fun and hope to be able to go back to visit again sometime!!
