My Sister

My sweet little sister, Diana, passed away Sunday. She's been dealing with the effects of Muscular Dystrophy for the last three years and she has finally been released of her caging body. I'm so happy to think of her dancing and singing and running and jumping again. I can't imagine her pure joy to be embraced by our Savior, as we know she has been.

Though she will be sorely missed by her mother, siblings, husband, and children, we know that she will tend to each of us from the other side of the veil. Her two kids literally have an angel for a mother; how special is that?!
Diana was able to accomplish more for other people in the last seven years than most people do in a lifetime. In fact, just a few weeks ago, she was honored as the "Advocate of the Year" for the state of Utah. She did so much to make and change laws so that life was better for those who had disabilities.
I am so lucky to have had her as a sister and even more lucky to know that we will always be sisters and that we will be together again. Until then, I'll do my best to be more like her.

Easter

Well, it's been a while since I've last posted. I'm sure people are thinking I've fallen off the face of the earth, and at times, I feel that way. I've been so busy with moving, and kids, and pageant, and cookbook, I rarely get to check in on what others are up to and I feel so out of the loop. But things are starting to feel a bit more settled around here - finally! And now I feel like I can take a few minutes to share what we've been up to.

First of all, I got to help out with Austin's Easter party at school. And as always, I took my little girls. Everyone had a ball! It was so hard to keep Brynnlee out of the Easter eggs that we were hiding. She wanted to collect them all and see what was making that funny sound when she shook it. Aubree was such a good helper and had fun time sitting with Austin and his classmates making the bunny masks right along with them. She so thinks she's ready for Kindergarten.

The day before Easter was our big moving day. We had so much help and thanks to my sister-in-law, Valerie, and my mother-in-law, Kathy, we had so much stuff put away and organized. It was so nice!!! We are so lucky to have family close by, and even those from far away, coming to help us when we need it most!

Since we were so put together by Saturday night, we got to enjoy Easter Sunday to the fullest. I had no time to go out and buy new Easter clothes, so we just stuck with what we had and I still think my kids looked adorable. They had such a fun time searching for the eggs in all of the new places in our house. This year was Brynn's first Easter that she got to search for eggs. She was so cute. Here are some pictures from that happy day, our first day in our new house.

I love the way Brynnlee "crawls" in a dress!

How cute is she?!
